Attendees of each Risk Appraisal Forum meeting are selected and invited by the RAF meeting host who also acts as the meeting chairperson. Guests who have attended one or more RAF meeting often refer to it as one of their favorite meetings of the year. The Risk Appraisal Forum presents the opportunity for our attendees to share breakthroughs in medical technology, treatment of illnesses and health improvements. There is no other forum that exists where marketing, medical and underwriting professionals meet with the objective of improving the business of underwriting.

Q. What is the schedule of the meeting?
A. The chairperson of the meeting will set the exact times and agenda. In general, the meetings are set up to start with a reception on Thursday night followed by the meeting on Friday. On Friday, the RAF will provide for breakfast and lunch during the meeting. There will also be a planned dinner on Friday night. On Saturday there will be a morning breakfast and session with the meeting usually concluding about noon. On occasion, there may be a golf outing on Wednesday before the meeting, sponsored by the Risk Appraisal Forum.
Q. What costs am I responsible for?
A. You will be responsible for air fare, transfers, and hotel expenses. The RAF will host our guests to the cost of the meeting, to include the Thursday night reception, all meals on Friday, and breakfast on Saturday.
Q. Can I bring my spouse?
A. Spouses are most certainly invited. Please let the chairperson know in advance.
Q. What is the usual dress attire.
A. The meeting is business casual.
Q. Can I attend the next Risk Appraisal Forum meeting?
A. Due to the popularity of the meetings and to ensure that as many people in the industry have the opportunity to attend, the group needed to restrict invitations. The bylaws of the group were written so that no home office guest may be invited to consecutive meetings. The only exception to this rule is for medical directors.
